Post a Volunteer Event Opportunity
Have an upcoming volunteer opportunity? Want to advertise said service event to the Florida Tech community? Look no further--you have come to the right place! Florida Tech's Civic Engagement Initiative utilizes an online platform called
Engage
to advertise service opportunities. By completing this form, you will be giving the Civic Engagement Staff all the information needed to created an event post for your service opportunity on your behalf.
Please fill out the information below. Your responses will be used by Civic Engagement Staff to create the Engage event post for your upcoming service event. Before completing your request, please review the following:
Civic Engagement Staff may modify responses to ensure consistent formatting and structure of event posts.
Civic Engagement Staff will review and process submissions form this form within 1 week of receiving them.
If you belong to an external organization (not affiliated with Florida Tech), you
must
complete a "
Community Partner Application
" before submitting a volunteer opportunity. Civic Engagement Staff will only post volunteer events from approved Community Partners.
If there are any issues with your form, Civic Engagement Staff will deny the application and give you specific feedback on what needs to be addressed in order for it to be approved. You will need to resubmit a new version of this form.
For best results, please submit your volunteer events at least 1 month in advance.
Civic Engagement will be listed as a co-hosting organization on the Engage post. Unless otherwise planned, Civic Engagement will not be responsible for organizing or overseeing any aspects of your event. Civic Engagement Staff are not guaranteed to be present.
Please note,
this form is only for service events your organization is hosting. If you have an ongoing service opportunity (such as an long-term project or service-based internship) that you would like to recruit for, please complete the "
Post an Ongoing Service Opportunity
" form instead.
Last but not least,
if you are a Florida Tech club, student organization, or department looking to partner with Civic Engagement, you can create on your own Engage Page and and add Civic Engagement as a co-host to your own event post. No need to fill out this form :)
